How to Change DNS Settings on a Windows Device

1. Open up the Control Panel. To do this click on the Start menu> Type “Control Panel”> Click on the Control Panel from the search results.

2. Once in the Control Panel, head to the “Network and Internet” option> Click on “Network and Sharing Center.”

3. In the left-hand sidebar, click on “Change adapter settings.” This will display a list of your network connections.

4. Find the active network connection you are using (either WiFi or Ethernet).

5. Right-click on the active connection and select “Properties” from the context menu.

6. In the properties window, scroll through the list and select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4),” then click on the “Properties” button.

7. A new window will appear. Select “Use the following DNS server addresses.”

8. Enter your new DNS address and click “OK.”

9. To make sure the changes have been implemented, restart your computer.
