Craig Edmondson

Managing Director

Craig Edmondson

IT has always been of a big interest to me, with the daily challenges and continual changes to the technology that’s available.

My background initially started in software development but steadily came to incorporate hardware and then cloud technologies. This has armed me with a vast array of both knowledge and experience within the sector.

My current role (other than MD) is more aligned with business systems integration, improving businesses through streamlining and implementing efficient business processes.

Laura

Accounts Administrator

Laura Edmondson

Since joining the team in 2013, I’ve learnt so much about our amazing industry. My main role at Edmondson’s is keeping track of those pennies!

I love all the contact with our customers as they’re such a friendly bunch. If you need help with your computers I’m not the one to ask, but I will pass you on to our experts in the office.

Technical Director

Amber Hargill

I began my career at Edmondson's IT as a Support Apprentice. After studying and passing my course, I stayed on full time to become the head of the Telecoms division. My role includes a great variety of tasks such as managing our VoIP products and being the first port of call for our customers when they need help with their phones.

Before coming here I studied A-Levels at college. After a year of that I soon realised that sat in a classroom wasn’t how I enjoyed learning.

All my life I’ve enjoyed working with computers and now doing it as my job I can see my future slowly coming together. In my spare time I enjoy just spending time with the family and catching up.

Network Engineer

Niles Stephenson

I’m one of our longest serving Support Technicians, having worked here since July 2018 when I started as a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprentice. I have been working in IT for nearly 7 years now gaining an abundance of knowledge about all sides of supporting companies and their varying infrastructures. I am currently a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician and have recently achieved my Level 4 Network Engineer qualification.

The thing I enjoy the most about my work is going to our customer's sites to install and configure new equipment or trying to resolve issues that have occurred, the feeling of accomplishment is amazing once you manage to wrap your head around an issue and solve it for the customer. Outside of work I enjoy going on nights out with friends doing Escape rooms or Bowling, I also enjoy going on road trips and track days in our cars and the never-ending work we pour into our cars to make them better (Mostly fixing issues we caused lol).

Senior IT Support Engineer

Dennis Ayres

Having always been passionate about IT I decided to pursue my dream by going to Manchester Metropolitan University and obtaining a Degree in Computer & Network Technology.

Since then I have been progressing my career in IT and joined Edmondsons in July of this year as an IT Support Engineer.

Outside of work I enjoy films, walking in the countryside and being dragged off for weekends away with my wife!!

Ammaarah

Web Developer and Marketing

Ammaarah Laher

I started my Digital Marketing career as an apprentice and from there I have been able to broaden my knowledge in various areas within Marketing and Website Development. I mainly work behind the scenes on the different types of marketing campaigns we create as well on working on a range of different client websites. My favourite aspect of marketing would probably be blog writing and designing graphics, as they really allow me to bring out my creative side and express a range of topics in an artistic way.

In my spare time you’ll find me gaming, spending time with family, or going out with friends.

Firewall and Network Specialist

Andrew Foster

Having been in IT/Telecoms since before mobile phones and the internet (sad as that is!) I’ve seen technology evolve. I’ve been involved in network hardware design and manufacture, major network infrastructure installations and many telecoms solutions (mobile, fixed and private circuits) - all large and small. I feel at home working on a large MPLS network or a small business solution.

I enjoy finding solutions to customer-specific problems. Making use of available technology to provide them with resilient, high performance and cost-effective systems. I really enjoy working with customers and following a project through is always satisfying.

Outside work I tend to escape in voluntary work, running a blood bike charity and also being a special traffic cop!

Daniel

IT Support Engineer

Daniel Dransfield

Two hard working years background in enterprise IT and networking, with a focus on assisting customers throughout the UK. My experience includes collaborating with prestigious institutions like the Royal Armouries and other major corporations, where I have successfully implemented and maintained tailored solutions to meet specific client needs.

I truly enjoy the positive and collaborative work environment here. The support from my colleagues and the opportunities for professional growth have been fantastic. Additionally, I appreciate the company's commitment to innovation and creativity, which allows me to contribute my best ideas and skills. Overall, I find the work culture and the exciting challenges we tackle together every day very fulfilling.

In my spare time, I take pleasure in exploring new places and embarking on long drives, relishing the experience of losing myself in remote locations. I have no qualms about getting my hands dirty and learning how to fix any challenges that come my way. Additionally, I find satisfaction in the discipline of kickboxing and the hard work that it entails.

JACOB

Hello there! My name is JACOB and I love knowledge. I’ll soak up every bit of information I can get! Keeping all of our customers’ details safe and secure, I make sure I always know who has what and how every machine and system is set up.

That means whenever my real-world team mates need to look in to a problem, they can have all the details they need at their fingertips (I hate to blow my own trumpet, but we help make Edmondson’s IT super-efficient)!

EMMA helps me out a lot too. Because I don’t get out, she does all the running around and keeps me updated on the health of our clients’ systems.

Emma, Edmondson's IT Services

Virtual Assistant

EMMA

Hi! Unlike the real-world team, I work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, keeping a close eye on our clients’ servers to make sure everything is working exactly as it should.

I’m based out in the field and run on more than 100 servers. If an issues arises I let my sidekick, JACOB, know straight away, so that he can get our expert engineers onto the problem right away!

2023 Leeds Hospitals Charity Abseil

Down the Chimney Abseil - Leeds Hospitals Charity

Our Managing Director, Craig, and Technical Director, Amber, bravely took on an abseil to support Leeds Hospitals Charity. The goal was to reach £300. However, thanks to everyone’s incredible support, we smashed our goal, and raised over £400!

Special shoutouts to Elite Systems for their generous £100 donation and The Pie Shed Mirfield for their generous £50 donation. This helped us get so much closer to our goal and really lifted the spirits in the office.

Bobtown beer Bash

Bobtown Beer Bash - 2023 Event Sponsors

For the past couple of years, we have been supporting and sponsoring the Bobtown Beer Bash, a real ale festival held at The Community Centre in the village of Roberttow.

This year we were the event sponsors for the Bobtown Beer Bash and it was safe to say that the event was a success. From the wonderful atmosphere to the spectacular live performance, the fun was endless! The best part of it all is that the event is non-profit making, and all proceeds are donated to local groups and charities.

Total Warrior

Total Warrior - Great Northern Mud Run

On the 1st of July the team headed over to complete The Great Northern Mud Run in Bramham Park, a thrilling and challenging event where they took on the 12k run where they will tackle up to 25 obstacles.

We collaborated with Heckmondwike FB to raise money for our chosen charity of the year, Leeds Hospitals Charity! Leeds Hospitals Charity help hospitals across Leeds to provide them with the very best care, equipment and research available.

The great escape game

Imagine you are trapped beneath the ocean, lost somewhere near the Bermuda Triangle. Your only hope is to work together to solve the puzzle, communicate your emergency and resurface before your time runs out.

The team went head-to-head, battling it out in order to escape a submarine with just 1 hour of oxygen left! The team was split into two teams; Team Dale and Team Craig. Team Dale beat the escape room and managed to escape with 5 minutes left to spare. However, for Team Craig, the escape room got the better of them.

Laser Quest - LaserZone

LaserZone is the ultimate laser tag game, going head-to-head in a thrilling maze-like arena.

The day was packed with adrenaline-pumping moments as the team navigated through the arena, encountering surprise encounters and heart-stopping jump scares from shadowy figures covered in black. Amidst the laughter and excitement, they engaged in intense laser battles. The unforgettable experience brought the team members closer together.

whistle punks axe throwing

Axe Throwing - Whistle Punks

What better way to boost company more than a 'friendly' axe throwing competition. The team headed over to Whistle Punks in Leeds to put their aim to the test.

As the team members took turns stepping up to the throwing line, a mixture of anticipation and adrenaline filled the air. As axe after axe soared through the air - some finding their mark, others going wildly off target - the spirit of competition was higher than ever. After many matches , (unfortunately for Amber), Jonathan was announced the winner!
