Will my PC accept the upgrade to Windows 11?

Not all devices that run Windows 10 can move to Windows 11, because Microsoft have introduced tougher hardware requirements. To check if your PC is eligible, download the free PC Health Check app from Microsoft’s website. The tool reviews your processor, memory, storage and other specs, then tells you straight away if your device is compatible.

If your machine passes, you’ll usually see the upgrade option in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. If it fails, you won’t be able to upgrade. While it’s sometimes possible to replace individual parts, in many cases a new PC is the most cost-effective solution.

At Edmondson’s we can run these checks for you and give clear advice on whether it’s worth upgrading or replacing, depending on your business needs.
