Edmondson’s IT Services is committed to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of individuals recorded by our CCTV systems. To uphold data protection laws and ensure the security of personal information, the following policy applies:

Public Access Requests

• CCTV footage will not be released to members of the general public under any circumstances.
• This includes requests for footage involving incidents or individuals unless legally mandated.

Law Enforcement Requests

• CCTV footage will be made available upon formal request by the Police or other lawful authorities.
• Requests must be accompanied by appropriate documentation (e.g., a written request, case number, or data access form).

Editing and Redaction

• Edmondson’s IT Services does not have the capability to edit or redact CCTV footage, including blurring or removing individuals not involved in an incident.
• As a result, footage cannot be partially released or altered to protect third-party identities.

Data Retention

• CCTV footage is retained for a limited period in accordance with our retention schedule and is then automatically deleted unless required for ongoing investigations or legal proceedings.

Privacy and Protection

• All footage is stored securely, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
• We are committed to complying with relevant data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
