Shopify is built specifically for selling products online, and it does that extremely well. But if you’re not selling goods, it’s probably not the right tool.
Pros:
- Designed for retail – includes inventory, checkout and shipping tools
- Built-in marketing and SEO features
- Mobile-optimised and secure by default
Cons:
- Monthly fees can add up for small businesses
- Not suited to non-ecommerce websites
- Less freedom with site design and back-end access
Unless your core business is online sales, you’re better off with WordPress or Wix.
