Google’s New Algorithm!

In May 2021, Google plan on updating their algorithm and it will include a new factor called Page Experience. It will still include the existing Google Search signals, not only but including mobile-friendliness, safe browsing, HTTPS, and intrusive interstitial guidelines.

Here is what Google say...
The page experience signal measures aspects of how users perceive the experience of interacting with a web page. Optimising for these factors makes the web more delightful for users across all web browsers and surfaces, and helps sites evolve towards user expectations on mobile. We believe this will contribute to business success on the web as users grow more engaged and can transact with less friction.”

This means that they are going to be analysing how usable your website is. They will arrange search results in accordance with page experience. So, be sure to have a responsive website. The update to the algorithm means that it’s vital to optimise your website and create the best user experience for your customers, as you could see a drop in your website visitors if this isn’t done.

Optimising your website takes time and effort. It is a process in which you have to understand and invest time into to ensure it is done correctly. The steps can include; optimising your website for mobile, improving page speeds, adding call to action, and alt tags for images.
