Accidentally deleting items or documents in SharePoint is not uncommon. When this happens, it can be a stressful situation, especially if the deleted items are critical to your work. Fortunately, SharePoint offers features that allow you to recover deleted items and documents, giving you peace of mind and ensuring that your important data is not lost forever.
1. Recycle Bin: One way to recover deleted items or documents in SharePoint is by using the Recycle Bin feature. When you delete an item in SharePoint, it is not permanently removed from the system right away. Instead, it is moved to the Recycle Bin, where it can be easily restored if needed. To access the Recycle Bin, go to your SharePoint site>Recycle Bin.
2. Site Collection Recycle Bin: If the deleted items or documents are not found in the Recycle Bin, SharePoint administrators have the ability to restore items from the Site Collection Recycle Bin: Click Settings>Site Settings>Under Site Collection Administration>Recycle bin>Second-stage recycle bin>Restore the items you want to restore.
